AspiraDAC, part of the Corporate Carbon Group, has appointed Dr Mahesh Venkataraman as Chief Technology Officer

AspiraDAC has welcomed Dr Mahesh Venkataraman as its new Chief Technology Officer, bringing more than 15 years of experience across clean energy, power generation and alternative fuels to the growing team.

Dr Venkataraman joins at a pivotal time as AspiraDAC advances the world’s first modular, solar-powered Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology. Working closely with Co-Founder and CEO Julian Turecek, he will guide the company’s engineering program, oversee its systems and intellectual-property portfolio, and help steer relationships with investors, customers and regulators.

For AspiraDAC, the appointment represents a major step forward in strengthening technical leadership and accelerating progress toward commercialisation. Mahesh’s expertise in renewable-energy systems and low-emission technology will be central to optimising energy performance and ensuring the company’s DAC units are ready for real-world operation.

As part of the Corporate Carbon Group, AspiraDAC is helping build the next generation of carbon-removal solutions - demonstrating how Australian innovation can contribute to the global transition to net zero.
